Young Adults

The Gathering Place provides a safe community, education, emotional support and activities for people impacted by a cancer diagnosis. Our programs and services provide those in their late teens, 20s and 30s opportunities to:

• Be social while learning and having fun. Connect with people who understand what the cancer journey is like.
• Come together to talk about your experiences, learn from each other, share your concerns and ask questions.
• Learn coping strategies and techniques to help manage stress.

Cancer interrupts your life. You may feel overwhelmed with information while learning how to navigate the healthcare system.

The Gathering Place provides a confidential, judgement-free zone. Whether you are 18, 27 or 39, our judgement-free zone will help reduce stress through the following programs provided free of charge:

• Art Therapy
• Cancer Specific Support Groups
• Drumming
• Educational Programs
• Exercise Consultations
• Family Support
• Hands-On Cooking Classes
• Legal Consultations
• Massage, Reiki, Yoga & Tai Chi
• Medical Bill Consultations
• Medical Research
• Nutrition Consultation
• Social Gatherings in the Community
